Schedule templates are predefined templates for the show schedule of your channels. Once created, they make it much easier for you to set up your schedule, as you can simply import them for your respective channel. This saves you having to create a new show schedule for each week. If you want to change something in the predefined template afterwards when creating the show schedule for a specific channel, you can do this without changing anything in your original show template. Practical, isn't it? If you have created shows in radiosphere Studio, you can create a template for your channel's weekly show schedule in the Boradcast Schedule Template section. Here you can read again how to create a channel or a show.
Create a schedule template
Click on Broadcast > Schedule Templates in the selection menu on the left. To create a new template, select + Add Template in the top right-hand corner.
The next step is to give a new schedule template a name. Ideally, you should use this name to indicate special features in the show schedule (e.g. special shows or when the show schedule is valid from). Click on Create Schedule once you have defined a suitable name. You will now be taken to the Schedule Editor, which is reminiscent of a timetable.
Adding shows to the schedule template
To add a show to the appropriate place in the weekly show schedule, hold down the left mouse button and select the time range in which the show is running. As soon as you have released the left mouse button, a window will appear in which you must select the appropriate show from the Show dropdown. In the fields below, you can adjust the time at which the show runs if necessary. Click on Save to apply the settings and Cancel to cancel them.
Copy and paste a show slot
You can now insert all show slots for the weekly plan in this way. To save time, you can copy show slots that have already been inserted to insert them elsewhere. To do this, right-click on an existing show slot and then click on Copy.
Then click again with the right mouse button on the place where you want to paste this copied show slot and select Paste.
This way you can add recurring shows for each day of the week even faster. Repeat this for all shows of the week. Once you have inserted all the shows for the week, all you have to do is click Save in the top right-hand corner to save the schedule template.
Then close the Schedule Editor using the X icon at the top left. You will now return to the Schedule Templates overview page, where you can open, edit or delete existing templates.
Adding a schedule template to a channel
So that listeners can also see when which show is running on their favorite channel, you have to assign the schedule template you have just created to the appropriate channel. You can find out how to do this here.
