Sometimes it happens that you and someone else are working on a certain post at the same moment. To prevent you from accidentally overwriting each other's changes in the radiosphere Studio Editor by saving and publishing, you will be shown who is editing the post in parallel. Other people can, of course, still open the post and view the content. If they want to adapt it, however, they must first activate themselves as creators. How this works and what else you can do with the new function is explained below.
Creator vs. Viewer
If you are the only one opening the post in the editor, a person icon (yours) will appear in the top right-hand corner with a green pencil icon next to it. If you click on your picture, a field appears with your username and again the green pencil icon next to it. If this symbol is next to your name or person icon, you are the Creator and can edit the content.
If another person has opened the post in front of you in the editor, another icon appears at the same place in addition to your person icon (representing the other person). You will also see a red, circled exclamation mark, which indicates that another person is configuring the post at the same time.
In addition, this sign indicates that you are the Viewer at this moment and cannot edit the content. In this case, certain setting options are blocked and you cannot make any changes in the editor preview.
Activate editing mode
If you are a viewer but want to make changes, you can click on the red, circled exclamation mark next to your person icon to activate edit mode. Once you have done this, the exclamation mark symbol appears on the other person's screen and editing and setting options are blocked for them. This can be reversed by the current viewer clicking on the exclamation mark again.
Saves
If the Creator saves the post, the viewer is informed of this by means of a message. Afterwards, the content is automatically updated in the viewer's view according to the changes.
